Winter blues.....

Well this winter has been exhausting with it's back and forth temperatures. Leaving everyone restless and longing for spring to arrive. I can't wait for picnics and trips to the canyon.

Does anyone else feel the same? I guess I'll have to get my warm fix from somewhere else. Jake and I are taking the kids to Tucson for Easter, where we will be greeted by the wonderful year round warmth of Arizona. 70 degree weather! I am so excited for sandals and capris.

In the meantime Morgan has found a way to get the exercise he so desperately needs. While I wait for it to warm up enough to take him to the playground, Morgan has found a new love of the treadmill. That's right Morgan loves the treadmill. He has even started to jog a little.
If he doesn't get his daily fix, mommy can count on a day full of tantrums. It has got to be the most hilarious thing I have ever seen.

Holy Cow! 2 months already......

So it's been a while and the kids are enormous. Eva just had her two month Doctor visit and she is in the 95th percentile. She's 24 in already and is still growing like a weed. Morgan is still growing just as fast and unbelievably will be having his second birthday in May.

Morgan has started to potty train is doing really well. He even wakes up in the morning takes his diaper off himself and sits on his little potty and pees.Hopefully it won't take much longer of being on top of him every ten minutes to " go potty."

Eva's blessing was 2 weeks ago and we are ever so glad to have that over with. There's something about the event of a blessing though that just really finalizes things. Do you know what I mean? She finally feels like an official member of the family.....here to stay.

Morgan LOVES being an older brother. Especially if he gets to pop Eva's toes when I am not looking. He's always trying to feed Eva and bring her a blanket when she cries. He really is adorable to watch with her. It's so neat to see how much they both really love one another. Eva's face just absolutely lights up when she sees Morgan, and if you ask her if she loves her big brother she grins from ear to ear and coos like crazy.

I always tell people one kid feels like playing house and two kids is a family. And you know what it's true. Jake and I really feel like a family now. Settled.

12 weeks and Counting!!!!!

Holy Cow 12 weeks until we bring our beautiful baby girl home. We are so excited to have our Eva here on earth with us and finally with us in person. Morgan is getting more and more used to the idea of not being the center of attention. Several weeks ago he started kissing my stomach when we said Eva's name, and now he has started to say 'Baby'. Which for those of you who have children you know just how exciting it is for a new word in your kids vocabulary. The thought of another baby is slightly nerve racking but the excitement of having another spirit here on earth and sealed to us is the greatest feeling and blessing of all.
We just got back from Vegas where Jake was helping to run a conference. Now Jake is preparing to go to Ottawa in 2 weeks where he will be gone for a whole week, while Morgan and I go to Arizona for the week to visit both Grandparents and Great-Grandparents. Morgan is beyond thrilled to visit his Grandpa's.
It's always so nice to see and visit with family. I forget how much I miss living near my parents until I see them. I hope someday Jake and I will have left the same impression upon our kids.

IT'S A GIRL!

Well we found out we are having a girl and Jake and I are just beyond excitement. We are so happy to have one of each now. And I just can't stop buying pink! No princess stuff yet though, but I don't want to get that going to soon either. Morgan still doesn't quite get why my stomach fights back, but soon he discover he is not the center of attention anymore and when that happens watch out.
Jake was recently put in cahrge of two different conferences in the past month and just had one finish without a glitch. Very Very exciting.
We are very excited about this weekends game and just as excited to see the Laniers. I can't wait to go to the Gelato shop together.
